Do you qualify for funding?

There are four qualifying criteria that must be met in order to apply:

Be incorporated federally or provincially, or be a Canadian resident sole proprietor

Be a for-profit, privately owned business

Have between 1 – 499 full time equivalent employees

Have at least $500,000 of annual revenues in one of the previous three tax years

Easy Application Process

REGISTER

Apply on the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) website using your CRA Business/Personal account login. We can assist you with this.

ELIGIBILITY

Your application will be assessed for eligibility into the program.

CREATE A PLAN

We will research, analyze and consult with you to create an actionable strategy to become more competitive digitally.

GRANT DISBURSEMENT

Submit your plan that we prepare for you and our invoice to ISED for approval, and the grant will be disbursed to cover your $15,000 advisory fee.

ACCESS AN INTEREST FREE LOAN

Upon completion of the digital plan, if you so wish, you may be able to access an interest-free loan of up to $100,000 from the Business Development Bank of Canada or obtain a subsidized employee to put your digital plan into action.

What is CDAP?

Can my digital advisor submit my application?

No, an owner or director of the company must be the one who submits the application. We can support you with information on how to apply and answer any questions you have.

About your registered digital advisors.

Only CDAP registered digital advisors and their associates will be able to provide you with a digital transformation plan. This is part of the criteria for the grant.

While implementation is not covered by the Boost Your Business Technology grant, our capabilities cover everything from advisory work to implementation, customization, and development services. The final decision is yours and we would like to execute the suggested plan.

Can I apply for grants for each of my companies?

What will my plan include?

How long will it take to develop my plan?

Engagements can commence after your eligibility approval and signed contracts are executed. Plan completion can take up to 8 weeks after engagement.

How do I access my funds?

Funds are reimbursed by the Government of Canada. Upon project completion, you can submit your invoices to claim back 90% of the total outlay, up to $15,000.

What does the $100,000 interest free loan cover?

What are the loan terms and amounts?

Zero-interest loan of up to $100,000 with a 5-year term + 12 months capital postponement (total of 6 years). CDAP is a four-year program, so you can apply for the program until 2026.

The amount of the loan is determined by the size of your business. If your annual gross revenues are:

between $500,000 and below $5M you can request a loan of between $25,000 and $50,000
$5M and more, you can request a loan between $25,000 and $100,000

The loan must be used solely for the implementation of a digital adoption plan that is recognized by the CDAP Boost Your Business Technology stream . Please note that although the loan request is being made under CDAP, applicants must meet CDAP eligibility criteria and for normal banking credit worthiness requirements to receive a loan offer.

You can create your digital adoption plan, receive the grant that covers up to 90% of advisory services and then decide against the zero-interest loan. Participating in the digital plan portion of CDAP does not oblige you to apply for a loan. If you move forward to implement your plan, you can also source the required funds from your own cashflow or from your regular financial institutions.

Can I use the $15k grant for technology purchases?

No, the grant is for strategic and advisory purposes as outlined by Innovations Canada. You can apply for $100,000 interest free loan to put towards technology acquisitions through CDAP.
